Soal UN Bahasa Inggris SMP/MTs dibuat
sekitar 50 soal. Sementara itu materi yang dianggap penting menurut
kisi-kisi pembuatan soal diantaranya materi wacana tertulis pendek baik
teks fungsional maupun esai sederhana berbentuk deskriptif (descriptive,
procedure, maupun report) dan naratif (narrative dan recount) dalam
konteks kehidupan sehari-hari.
Di jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) / Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs), jumlah pilihan berganda dalam soal adalah 4 (empat) option A, B, C, dan D. Latihan soal UN Bahasa Inggris SMP/MTs 2013 ini dianggap penting artinya karena untuk mempersiapkan para siswa dalam sukses ujian nasional tahun 2013.
